With the rich graphical content, videos and audios that are available on the Internet, fast access is essential. CAS Netlink has a range of broadband ADSL plans to suit any budget.

We are very pleased to announce that CAS Netlink is now an authorised dealer for the full range of TPG ADSL broadband plans. TPG is one of Australia’s largest internet and mobile telecommunications providers and the ADSL plans are the very best available. High speed and high download limits at a very low price. Unlike some providers, the network capacity on TPG isn’t over-sold which means you can expect excellent download speeds all the time.

All broadband plans that have a monthly download limit are shaped if you use your full monthly allowance. What that means is that rather than send you a bill for extra data usage we will slow down your connection speed until the end of the current billing period – so you don’t have to worry about the kids (or you) downloading too many videos and copping a big bill!

Hang on just a minute! There’s all sorts of techno jargon in the plan tables below that aren’t going to mean much until we take a litte time to explain.

OFF-NET PLANS

OFF-NET is just our way of saying that the plans don’t require you to be connected to TPG telephone exchange equipment. When the government opened up the telephone exchanges it allowed large providers other than Telstra to put their own gear in the exchanges. By having our gear in the exchange it allows us to offer you some other services such as voice over IP (aka VOIP) telephone services. So, in short, the OFF-NET plans are available to just about anyone who is connected to an ADSL capable telephone exchange.

MONTHLY USAGE QUOTAS

Most of our monthly usage quotas have a peak and an off peak allowance.  Where you see the allowance shown as (50GB+50GB) it means that you can download 50GB each month during peak times and 50GB during off-peak times. Off peak means data that is downloaded between 2:30am and 8:30am. Peak is between 8:30am and 2:30am.

SHAPING SPEED

This is the speed that your internet connection will be set to if you use up your total download amount before the end of the monthly billing cycle. For most people it means peace of mind, knowing that you won’t get some big, nasty bill at the end of the month. Instead of billing you for any extra data that is downloaded, we apply the shaping speed on your connection. Of course if you don’t reach your monthly download limit then this will not apply.

CONTRACT PERIOD AND SETUP FEES

The contract period for our ADSL2+ plans is 12 months and for our OFF-NET plans it is only 6 months. What that means is that if you cancel before the end of the contract paeriod a cancellation fee will apply. Some providers tie you up in a contract for 2 to 3 years, so our contract period is quite short compared to many others. The setup fee for OFF-NET plans is $59.95.

SO WHICH PLAN IS RIGHT FOR ME?

There are quite a few plans, so here is a short list of our most popular plans:

ADSL OFF-NET 512K – $39.99/mth – Great for some heavy web surfing, Facebooking and tweeting. With 50GB of peak downloads you will have more than enough to spend some serious time surfing and communicating.

ADSL OFF-NET 8MB Unlimited – $69.99/mth – If you spend a lot of time on YouTube or other video sites then this plan should work well for you. With no download limits and the faster 8MB speed this plan is perfect.

ADSL2+ PLANS

Most larger telephone exchanges now support ADSL2+. What that means is higher download speeds – up to 20MB depending on your distance from the exchange.

ADSL OFF-NET RESIDENTIAL PLANS

ADSL is the most common type of broadband plan with a speed of up to 8MB. That’s around 100 times faster than dialup. The ADSL OFF-NET plans are residential plans for anyone who is not connected to the TPG telephone network. This would apply to most new broadband connections.

ADSL 2+ RESIDENTIAL PLANS

ADSL2+ is faster than standard ADSL, with a maximum of around 20MB download speed. Speed on any type of ADSL connection depends on the quality of the line between you and the telephone exchange as well as the distance to the telephone exchange.
